I want to write a script for garry's mod How many days do you have to learn and prove in?

Depends on what kind of script you are making. If it is modifying an add-on then it probably won't take long, as long as you have the correct lua knowledge

Use the wiki, edit existing code and start with simple, VERY SIMPLE things.. I don't recommend watching videos..

That's almost the exact opposite of what you should do. Definitely watch video's and use the wiki. Learn actual Lua before gLua, otherwise you'll have a learning disability at first. Do not ever ever edit someones code that's basically plagiarism. Look at others code for a reference. Like let's say you can't get your character to do a 360 jump. Instead of copying someone's code, check yours to theirs and see what they did vs what you did. Using others code is not only unoriginal but unprofessional.

I guess you should use YT tutorials as model and then change what you need to change, and with time you'll get better and better

Well it is an opinion and I was trying to help. Most content creators on gmodstore learned it this way.
And I assume he already knows how to code other stuff but is just new to GLua.

And I also highly doubt you code anything yourself. You sound like a 15 year old that things he is all it. No offense but you are a bit toxic.
Wouldn't be surprised if you leave a -rep now because you don't understand my opinion.

For the thread creator:

I would love to help you out, we can look at some simple scripts I created and then I will explain some stuff and prove TheAverageLeaker there is also other ways to to learn coding languages Tongue

I'm not trying to be rude, but "Most content creators on gmodstore learned it this way. " isn't based on any factual evidence. I wasn't trying to be toxic and I'm still not trying to be. I'm not going to -rep you for your opinion either. But try not to say things like "I also highly doubt you code anything yourself" and " You sound like a 15-year old that thinks he is all it". I do code my own things and my code isn't very good yet.

Alright, I know many developers on gmodstore and I talk to them aswell. Take Richard for example, he coded before he started with Lua and did it the same way. And the reason I said that is because you leak VCMod even though everyone knows it has a DRM.

It depends on how fast you can learn things. If you can learn something quick it won't be hard we all have different talents and skills. If you're serious about it going to college would be your best bet.

So you upload leaks to dropbox? lmao.
And ehm get it to work? It's either an old leak from leakforums, a shitty cracked version that only works half of the time you just took from VeryLeaks or one that still had a DRM but it wasnt blocked yet.
