It depends on what you want to do with your phone. If you like to tinker a lot then its a no brainer and go for a say oneplus 7t with that budget.

Android phones don't limit you while iPhones prevent you from OS switches and iPhones are way too expensive for the hardware (as usual). I don't see other issues with iPhones so if you don't really care about the price and OS then there isn't such a large difference.

I actually prefer iPhone since I use the Apple ecosystem to work.
It's easy to collect all the stuff in one place.

iOS is a lot more stable than Android, but you have to jailbreak to fell at the same way as when you're on Android.
But on the overall, iOS is a hundred times better
