You can just benefit of the 90% xbox subscription discount and pick the game for 1$ first month.

I'd recommend Breath of the Wild. I have a copy on the Switch, but you can also play it through an emulator if you have a PC that's powerful enough. Although I'm against piracy, there's no excuse to not play this fucking beautiful game, so you could download Cemu (Wii U emulator) and the Wii U ROM of the game. Of course if you have or don't mind buying a Switch, it's always better to purchase a copy.

The bad thing about SoT is the repetitiveness of it's core gameplay. It almost always follows the same formula: make your way to a certain location, find a specific thing, and repeat over and over again.
But it certainly is in a better spot than it was at release, with Rare pushing out new free DLC to add more content to the game.

The good thing about it is that I find it to be really fun and relaxing to roam uncharted waters with my friends. Also the developers really care about the game and are really striving to improve it.

The only requirement to play this game is that you need to have a group of friends to play it with, otherwise it's not worth the $60 you're paying for.

If you don't mind the core repetitiveness of the game you should buy it.

No Mans Sky is a great game for this purpose... you legit could just fly around and explore planets. Subnautica is the same way but a bit more difficult in my opinion.
