Well its not dead. Currently there is the downtime.. and after it it will hit hard again.

Yeah, it is already dead along time ago, even when it was created, look up now how much bitcoin costs

Someone in my class made a presentation about this and he has high hopes in the the bitcoin trading area.

I would think so for the general customer b/c it's high fee and conversion rate makes it really unusable

I think Bitcoin is dead, most people I know go on PayPal. Same with me.

I think that Bitcoin is dead in a trading and mining aspect, but it still remains a viable solution for anonymous and worldwide payement, and the best Blockchain model for any cryptocurrency
