Do y'all think the game is dieing due to the smurfs and hackers that are playing it. It really decreases the amount of fun so i think it is slowly dieing...

Seems like OP has been banned but I'll still share my two cents for those browsing the thread.

According to http://steamcharts.com/app/730#1y the playerbase has stayed relatively steady in a decline, though it's a decline that's to be expected. The impressive part is that it's only within 200k players less than it had a year ago. With PUBG coming out it's still done pretty well keeping top 10 games on Twitch (viewer wise). The game is also within the top 10 on steams most played (monthly statistics) page.

At this rate the game doesn't seem like it will die any time soon really. Player base will decline but the death of a game, in my opinion, is when you queue for a game and you get the same people over and over, or you can't queue due to lack of players. When this is for sure not an issue in game.

2 years ago when i was student, in my class (30 boys, IT class) almost everyone was playing cs:go, during school we were just talking about game, memes, funny videos, tournaments, updates, etc. There were 20~ppl always online at the evening, playing cs:go. We had even school tournament, every class participated. Now when we're all done with school almost nobody plays csgo - there is just me and my friend. It was just super hyped game, but it is not anymore. Now the majority of cs:go players are people who liked that game during the hype, they're a bit skilled, so this is reason why they're still playing it. This game is only about getting better doing the same thing over and over again - same maps, same weapons, same everything except people. It might be boring for some people, and that's normal I guess.

Now this overhyped game is PUBG, I can tell people will be bored of it in 1-2 years.

@topic
Game is far from dying ofc. It is still the most competetive fps game.

My post is a mess, but whatever XD

CSGO is actually on an increase of players. The reason it is seen as dying is because the hype for the game has died. So a lot of streamers have left and a lot of big names don't really play it anymore meaning that it doesn't get as much coverage as it use to. But despite that more and more people are coming to it.

idisagree there are still a lot of big names playng, the only ''big'' name on csgo that left was shroud because he never got out of groups
