It depends on how long you plan on holding for. If we're talking maximum 1 year, then no, they're not going to recover. If you're talking long term (3+ years at least), then you'll see them rising back once the market capitalisation adjusts and the actual currencies are utilised for real world problems.

Crypto will never be "stable" that is a horrible usage of that word. BTC is probably the most volatile investment you could buy. Many factors go into the price of bitcoin, if you are investing in bitcoin to "get rich" or get "easy money" then you are in it for the wrong reasons. If you don't have the understanding of how it works, and what makes prices go up in down. Do yourself a favor and don't buy any. Don't get the wrong idea too, i'm not writing this to discourage you from buying bitcoin, but at the same time understand what you are doing and working with first. Good luck!
