Recently, Ive been using file maker Pro version 12 which by today standards is ancient to build some internal applications for various things to solve my own problems, Ive seen some people use access which is just a nightmare and a half and still others seem to swear by SQL server, my question is for basic desktop type databases for the end-user to consume is file maker a decent platform? If it is, what are the compelling reasons, if theres something better why?
