Is Gaming a Waste of Time?

I say, "having fun, relaxing and feeling are just another part of producing". We need some feelings that we can't get in day by day life. We also need to have fun and relax. We need that, 'cause otherwise, stress would just crush us. Besides, videogames stimulate imagination, for some people, that is a big deal for their jobs. My female cousin got a boyfriend through League of Legends, and If we don't enjoy ourselves from time to time, then...why are we even alive? ^^

I think nothing is a waste of time when you enjoy doing it. To me I think a hobby should be fun and enjoyable, something you can do to relax. It's great if you end up with a usefull skill through your hobby but I don't think that is why should be practicing your hobby. Reading is generally thought of as a 'good' hobby that isn't a waste of time, right? But when you think about it, does a person who reads books (fiction) for a habby end up with more usefull skill than someone who games for a hobby? Not right?

no not really, its like a hobby to play video games if its fun for you then its no waste of time. and you can even be a full time gamer where you can earn money if you are good enough

If you dont have nothing better to do then no its not a waste of time, I feel like playing videogames when I was a kid was very helpful for my present life, for example it helps you to be a better driver

I thinks its never a waste of time if you enjoy it. That sentence fits to almost all of the things we do. Playing Video games can make you be able to forget your problems and the stress in your life for a brief moment. Its important to know your limits and that you need to keep your distance. If you play too much, it can get out of hand and you can get into serious addiction problems. But I think this topic is too big to have a discussion on all the aspects in a forum
