Is Gmod obsolete ?

Hello guys , I just wanna do a real quick survey, don't you think that gmod is kind of obsolete as a game ( compared to the ultra optimized new games) ? And even if obsolete, do u still play gmod ?Why ?
For myself, i found this game so entertaining, the community is awesome and this is why I still play gmod

I feel like this thread is so you can get credits to go unlock some leak for your darkrp server no one plays on
