Counter-intuitively, she's good for beginners because her dash and updraft ability gives you an escape route, effectively a 2nd chance. Her smokes also help you either pave the way for a push or help in your escape. Plus, if you keep dying to fall damage, her passive is really good.
Her ult is GIT GUD tho, so good luck with that
