nope, It will never die... Its just like always pop culture tells you what to listen or what is "Cool" to listen, But there are good bands still, Is just that if you want to make a live from music You have to sell your self. But nowadays with internet I think is easier to find good music.

So much people still love Rock : young and old.

It's the parent's job to educate their children with rock music.

I agree its also evolving but will not just go away

Baroque and Chamber music is still alive and well, why would rock be dead already? its so young (relatively)

Death is not dead, but not so brilliant. Now some music is not as pure as before, people are no longer so paranoid, and a lot of music is diversified.

I am afraid is it dying. It is too easy to make digital music. Real guitars require real skills and dedication. On the other hand is it awesome to see what kind of gear you can buy these days. My entire guitar rig is digital except for the guitar ofcourse. Rock on!

I don't think it's possible for any (modern) genre of music to die, there will always be some weirdo out there enjoying/making it.
Though it makes you wonder how many songs pre-record era have been lost to the ages.

I don't think rock is completely dead, but where there are people, there are trends. Every trend has a peak and at some point, there is a revival. Think of classical music, it's very old and there are still concerts, even if the peak is obviously long gone.

People simply want to try and test new things. Combine old things in new ways, etc.

Rock is no longer a wild youth, but it's not dead yet either, it's grown older, more mature, it no longer has to play at every party.
