As you all might know, Overwatch just added a system called Roll Queue which is where you can choose to queue specifically for Tank, DPS or Support.

In my experience with the system it seems overall beneficial and I'm glad they added it, the difficulty of choosing which hero to play has long been really annoying and makes games worse, and this solves that, IMO.

What does everyone else think?

The role queue is, to my mind, a big update for everyone.
I have been been playing this game for 3 years

Definitely a mistake, especially combined with the 3 different SRs and soft-forcing players to do placements and games on all 3 roles.

I honestly hate it, its stupid and prevents players from getting creative.
They can't be competent enough to balance the game so they just lock players in the 2-2-2 meta

It was hard at first to accept, but I think overall its a good change that was needed for the game. Though they still need to balance a lot of heros in order to make the game playable.

I hate it, I think it could have been ok if they had an mmr reset

I think role queue is okay in competitive but putting it in quick play was a mistake.

I've been playing this game since release and I've seen pretty much every terrible comp imaginable. I think role queue is fantastic for the competitive scene, ever since it released I've experienced an increase in game quality. I'm willing to deal with increased queue times for that. However, I don't think they should have forced it into QP as well. QP is barely a step up from arcade, and I think people should still be allowed to do what they want.

Roll queue has pretty much ruined queuing for DPS for me. It's always a good 10-20 minutes to find a game if I want to play damage when I could just get a game in 1 minute on tank or support (since nobody wants to play those roles). Everyone things Overwatch is just a shooter, but it's not. Other than that, it is nice to have healers. Going into quick play classic will give you a quick reminder of how horrible things used to be when everyone instalocked DPS.
