Well, as someone who identifies as gay, I'd have to say it's neither bad nor good... It just is. People have different tastes, they're going to like what they like, no matter the reason. My main concern(s) with pretty much any preference/orientation/identification are as follows: 1) Does it cause harm? 2) Are any involved parties willing, and able (both physically and mentally), to consent?

That said, your friend's sexuality is just a small piece of their whole being. They're the same person that they were beforehand, you just know a little more about them now.

No, there's nothing wrong with being gay, it's just another facet of the yuman experience Smile
Sexual orientation is just another harmless characteristic that's associated with everyone Smile

Personally I'm a homophobe, kinda a weird word becausei just don't like them, not scared of them. But this goes for everything in the lgbt community. I hate traps, trans, bi, gay, lesbian, you name it. I do make some controversial (yet effective) points. I will not go on a tangent about that tho because i know many people will take offense.

It is not bad, no matter your orientation or theirs. But as for your question, I guess you should ask your self, what kind of person are you?

As a friend, being supportive should be the first choice. Someone coming out is a huge ordeal. There are plenty of doubts and moments of self consciousness that comes with it. Realizing who you are and the idea that many people would not accept you or would want to do you harm is a scary thought. If they came out to you, they trusted you, or at the very least, value your opinion.

They are looking for stability, let them know that you are there for them as a friend.

It's definitely not, I mean, think of it this way
1) does it harm you in any way
2) is it's sole purpose to offend
3) is it supportive tward something that fits under 1 and 2
If any of these are yes, it's bad
Being gay 100% does not

no? it's not like someone being gay makes them any different from a straight person, especially if it's just a friend of yours and not someone you're interested in?
