Is buying CS skins worth it?

Is buying CS skins worth it? in my opinion cheap skins are worth it but I really don't get why people buy skins over $20, I get that it's to show off or whatever but come on, it's a game.

Ive got a $220 Knife, just because its kinda motivating.
I mean i didnt throw $220 out the window. I can always sell the Knife and cash it out to my PayPal or Bank account.

You want to flex in front of kids? Then yes. You want to get that satisfying feeling of owning some nice skins? Too bad. I would suggest you not to buy skins.

No not really. theres no point. unless you wanna show off to people. but other than that. it does not improve anything

The skins do look quite cool. I was in the same boat as you, I didn't understand it then I started to play more and bought a couple of skins and now I love it. There's just something about owning a cool skin, makes you feel better in-game and therefore play better (at least for me). Not only that, you can make profit out of it. If you buy a skin cheap, sometimes they go up. I'd say it's pretty worth it.

Well, pulling out a knife after you made some nice kills ALWAYS feels good, but the prices of the knives are insane tbh

Agreed. Knives are overpriced af but I like my gun skins

Depends. If you're interested in investing your time in CS, then go for it. Skins are a good investment too while building up your reputation.
