If you're straight up copying the look and style of another artist 100% and only do exactly what they do like they do - then yeah you're stealing in a sense.

The counter-argument is that we're all inspired from other artists, people and things in life so it can easily have similarities.

I'd say use w/e you found as inspiration and put you're own vision/ideas/creative spin in to it to make it your own.

As said above. Try to put something original into it, something yours.
You can be inspired by others art style, follow their tips or techniques. That's how you learn.
Just don't totally copy it. It's not enjoyable and you can be indeed called a thief.
After some time you'll make your own style that fits you. It about time and practice.

Good luck and i hope you'll find this useful.

It depends on the context and how the art style is being copied. If someone is copying an art style without permission or proper attribution, then it can be considered stealing or plagiarism. This is especially true if the original artist's work is copied without any transformative changes or new creative elements being added. However, if the copying is done with permission or the artist uses an art style as inspiration to create something new and original, it may not be considered stealing. In fact, many artists draw inspiration from other artists and art styles to create their own unique work. It's important to always give credit where credit is due and to be respectful of other artists' work.

If you don't credit at all and do it 100% then yeah I'd consider it stealing, but if you are doing it because you love the look of it and credit the original person then I don't see an issue with it.
