Is it just me, or does Vanilla feel like Modded Minecraft now?

Give me a break. Minecraft is still Minecraft, you don't have to play on the latest version. You can disable the 1.9 combat easily...

I logged on a few days ago and started playing (last played about 2 years ago) and that's exactly how it felt.

That really is to taste, everyone will have a different taste, someone will like the mods, and others will not. I for example prefer the simple but only a mod to improve the textures.

I think the second poster is right, the main difference for me is the pvp. but still with my server i have the olkder pvp plugin! so i can enjoy some of the newer blocks, and also pvp like a pro <3

Man vanilla minecraft has come a long way...

Especially update aquatic, definitely feels modded and I've heard this plenty of times. I still think Minecraft is a really fun game despite this.
