I think minecraft is a game, which will not be unpopular. In this time it is not unpopular but not popular.

I still play it sometimes, I find that my group of friends gets bored of it really quick though these days.

Minecraft simply cant die. It has a huuge community on java edition and with the next gen consoles it will also enlarge the bedrock edition community.

On java edition there are shaders, mods, textures and way more game enhancements such as ray tracing.

Minecraft is getting for its age a lot of players currently in 2020. So yea, it is popular..

Of course it is still popular, there are so much people playing minecraft, so I think Minecraft will live forever until Minecraft 2.0
