Speculative mining might be worth it. It depends on how much time you want to put in for researching new coins with potential. You can mine these coins early on when the difficulty is low and sell them once they go in an exchange.

I used to have a huge farm of more than 60 gpus, not so much now, all I have left is 6 1070s and a pair of 1080ti, I still belive in crypto thou, I use most of the money I got from selling the hardware to buy crypto

if mining is dead then coins die. solo mining is dead because you're not likely to make money.

People said the same thing back then. It's about obtaining the currency, not thinking about it in USD terms.

Yeah i think its dead the cryptocurrency is loosing the value cause its not what it was, people are not interested anymore on it

It's not dead, it's just become more harder to gain from it. People still profit but the key is to have great knowledge on how the currency works, and doing trading can also give you gain.
