I don't think mining is dead....hell you can't get any high end GPU's right now. 3090, 3080, 3070, RX 580....they are all overpriced and still being bought. Must still have some value, just on a much larger scale.

My dad is a miner. Mining is not dead as long as there is gold in the Earth. So never...

It might be overhyped and dying out quickly, but sooner with a blink of an eye, who knows that 32K$ of 1 bitcoin will turn into 100K$ in a matter of recovery and time.

i don't want the cryptocurrency have this impact on gpu market, they ruined everything, some miners they sell the tireds gpus from a 4-5 years old at a doubled price. the market and second hand market are crazy..

Honestly unless you have the money to do ASIC it feels dead

Crypto Mining is the system that runs coin exchanges. If miners involved in a task increases, the difficulty increases. See bitcoin.it wiki for further information.

Also if you want to mine with your GPU or CPU, google crypto currencies using proof of work algorithms that are "asic resistant".

The days of solo operation is dead, mining in general i don't think so, but it's not sustainable
