To calculate profitability, use :

CryptoCompare.com > Mining > Calculators

Choose the currency, put your Hashing Power (H/s, KH/s, MH/s, GH/s or TH/s), your power consumption (W), the cost of electricity and the pool fees.
Done ? See the rentability Tongue

to make decent money. you'd require
1.botnet and thousandsssso of slaves. to just make a "Decent" amount of money.
this is like an investment and it costs a lot of money and requires luck.
if you think u can do it. then go ahead take a chance

If you can invest a ton of money on minning equipment and you can take the energy cost to the minimum and you can wait a long time to recover your invest, then minning can be something profitable. But if you are investing a money that you can't lose do not even think about take a risk with minning.
