Is pubg still playable?

I used to love PUBG and have thousands of hours played, but stopped back in February 2020 due to friends playing other games. I now have some more time and am wondering if I should try it again. Can people please give me a realistic insight into things like server population (ik they added bots), wait times, number of bugs (another reason why I left)? Also, is everyone who still plays just really good now (like Apex)? Any other information would be great too. Thanks!!
