If you are interested in data science, machine learning, big data and have a developer background, python is the best choice. I find it very versatile.

Python is the very versatile, object-oriented programming language used by startups and tech giants, Google, Facebook, Dropbox and IBM. Python is also recommended for aspiring young developers who are interested in pursuing careers in Security, Networking and Internet-of-Things....

Actually, you need to learn according to your needs. The following websites can give an idea about the trends.

For ML/ Data Science its still the king. For backend web dev I haven't seen much Django/Flask lately. Its mostly Jave/C# for legacy enterprise Node ate PHPs lunch for most things besides Wordpress.

Python and c++ is the best to learn when you are beginner. I mean when you want to learn "first programming language". After that you can learn any other programming language.

But yes, python is still in trending.

I agree on the legacy enterprise stuff being in Java/C# but think there's a lot more Django/Flask going around for microservices/APIs than you'd think.

However, for ML/Data science it is the king for creating and training models (actual execution is usually delegated to C/C++ implementations for performance)

I am interested in C# because of Game developing with unity, but I am not sure if I should focus on it. Also I noticed that in my current positon I can use more .Net and other similar stuff, so I have to first figure out which one would be the best to go with.

If I am honest i know that there is a lot you can do with Python, but I cant seam to come around the fact that it would be better to learn C# or Java!

If you don't have a strong technical background, learning JavaScript is probably a shorter path to employability.
