Is ranked still relevant in 2020

Is global elite even a thing to be proud of now? It seems pretty pointless. What are your guys thoughts?

honestly 64 tick queuing is pointless nowadays i only play community servers

Honestly MM Ranks don't really mean much anymore especially when you can easily buy these accounts for cheap, in my eyes your faceit or esea level/rank reveals much more about your skill that an mm rank does in my opinion

no point when global accounts are being sold for cheap, download faceit and rank up on there, that show true skill

i guess you should feel proud if it's your first time getting global by ranking up, but having global won't make much of a difference and is honestly a lot less fun

i mean i am supreme atm and after i get global i dont think i will play as much anymore

cs is much harder than it used to be. only the dedicated players are still doing mm. global now means much more than it did at launch

In my opinion, GE is surely something to be proud of because MM is full of cheaters, but I don't see a reason to play valve MM. Faceit is free, has less cheaters, and a more skilled playerbase. Being high ELO faceit is definitly better than global elite in matchmaking.

I've heard that there's more global elites than silvers, so I don't think it's too insanely hard to get there. I think a better milestone is to have A high rank on faceit or ESEA, because those servers tend to have more tryhards, better ranking systems, and are 128 tick.
