Depends. Short answer would be no. But the long awnser is yes...
The reason is because snapchat is not optimised. For the ios counterparts it's fine, but for android friends its not. Snapchat has potential but they need to put the same optimization efforts in that they do on ios to android. As most new andriod phones are just as capable as the latest iPhones, the camera quality is shitty, and the performance is bad. Once snapchat makes better choices it may last a year or two longer.
