Is the BR genre dying?

So many companies are trying their hands in the BR genre with so many games announced on E3 to have a BR mode, the genre is quickly getting oversaturated. Do you see this genre dying in a couple years or do you believe it'll stay relevant for many years to come?

Personally, it's too much, I was fine with there only being PUBG and Fortnite just like in the MOBA genre we have 2 competitors like LoL and DOTA 2. But every game now is getting their own BR which I think is too much and it'll kill the genre really quick.

Battle royal games are showing to just be a trend and nothing more. People hyped too much too quickly, and hopefully soon they will get burned out.

Still, it is still a genre that is playing a lot, but it seems to be a genre that is getting shorter and shorter.

Probably will die in a couple year considering all the Triple-A studio's making a BR mode.

BR will be around for years, it's just started. I would say it'll be the next MMO.

Yes, the BR royal genre is going to die soon as fall hits.

I don't think it will die any time soon. People were talking about how MMOs would die soon back in the early 2000s, but still in mid 2018 many of them are going pretty strong. Right now I think that Battle Royale is in a bit of a bubble because it is the current trend/fad, but many thousands of people seriously enjoy these games. As a result, I think that the genre will die down quite a bit, but will still maintain a strong community of players for years to come.

They will if most of the developers are like Bluehole.
