Is the BR genre dying?

Hell nah fortnite just made 388 million $ in one week the br genre is not dying its just getting more options with bo4 cs go etc all hoping on the train i think player bases will just separate

Yeah I think so. There really needs to be a twist to the entire BR genre or otherwise it will slowly die off.

its a genre that anyone can get into and specifically casual players
very easy to grasp mechanics of most games and its easy to jump in a game and just play.
It wont be going anywhere but im sure the numbers are going to start to go down a bit

No, it's 110% not dying, it's more popular than ever - it is becoming stale. More and more... 'lesser known' assit flips occur and they comepletely give the genre a bad ring to it, especially if it's someones first impression.

I feel this genre will die in not too long. That's cause a lot of ideas have already been produced by different companies
