Is the game dead?

The game isnt dead at all, its simply not gonna be the same forever and is experiencing changes which are making it different in your eyes.

Kinda but not yet there are lots of players though but not so many as we were 2-3 years ago

Absolutely not, it has a new competitor now and more updates come more frequently so i just think VALORANT improved CSGO's poteantiall seeing as iits been the uncontested FPS game for years now!

Its not dead but its playerbase is entirely new as is the game. It's not comparable to old CS.
