Is there a lot of grinding?

The game looks fun from clips I've seen but I wouldn't be able to do more than an hour a week into it

Yeah, the game has a lot of elements that you've to grind for. Like upgrading a character or weapons or artifacts.

There will ba a lot of grinding for sure, but if you're just a casual gamer and have a favorite character you can take your time and just enjoy the game :D

Yes and No, Grinding for rewards are kinda limited once u spent all ur energy, but there's enough events and stuff that u'll need to do to get the most out of it

Technically it's a lot of grinding, but you're done quickly with your daily tasks.
Throughout you'll have a lot of story lines and exploring too to alternate between contents.

I am pretty sure there is much grinding in it, especially if you're not interested in paying some bucks to the game shop.

I have personally stopped picking up such games.

There isnt too much grinding in the beginning of the game, but the late game is full of grinding

Youre gonna have to grind a LOT, I even have my own map to do my daily chest runs just for XP and Im AR 53.
