Is this game dead?

A game isn't dead until the last person stops playing, the player base may decrease but it's not dead.

The game is in no way "dead" as you say. I think, it has just fallen a bit behind and lacking mayor updates, which caused all the big streamers to not stream it anymore, thus taking away a big part of the community

I wouldnt say its dying its more like becoming boring since there are just only a little changes from year to year which isnt interesting

I wouldn't say it's dead, more like slowly losing players. I still play it on occasion.

At the beginning the game was very hyped, but it quickly subsided, i don't hear any more about it at the moment

I think so, I tried to play it a lot a while back but it was too frustrating and toxic... it improved a little when they came out with commendations but not enough to keep me playing

Even if the game is called "dead", there's always a smol community at still plays it. If u still enjoyin it you could reach out to them, idk if that necessary. However, the game itself would have an update time to time major to minor changes.

As with all games, the player base will taper off at some point. It's not dead though. Plus OW2 is coming out soon!
