Is this looking good? You can also criticize.

This is kind of redisign of GMod logo. Maybe this will come to my "Modern Main Menu project", a complete rewrite of gmod main menu. If you want so you may give me advice how to do it better.

The second variant def looks better, but I don't like the border gradient outside of the logo. The text also looks a bit wonky.

Do you know how to do it better?
I'm using Adobe Illustrator.

I would first remove the border and just make it the solid color, and then I'd probably use the official font.

This is official font. I jsut scaled first letters. Thank you for your advice. I'll look how this will be looking without border.

I'll be honest,
I like the first one more in terms of design.However, where it's lacking is that the rest of the letters are not shown,which is a minus in my opinion.
The second one is a bit more vanilla and bland.Sure, it can work but it's not eye-catching.

What I would suggest:
Remove the border and replace it with a thinner coat of a solid/mat colour.

The gun stands out way too much over the rest of the letters.Try to make some contrast between them so they can be differentiated apart from each other(Colour contrast,lighter outline of the sketch/letters see what works better for you)

Really dislike the first one, the second one is cool and clean. Both would look much better if you blended the border color better or removed the border entirely.

The first one is almost unreadable. I like the second one, it looks clean but it's missing a gimmick unlike the first one.

I think the second one looks better. I don't really like the border of it tough.

The second one without the border would look a lot cleaner.
