They are fruit, theyre just classified as veggies because they always have been and changing that would be a pain

Nobody in their right mind considers a tomato a fruit. I get that it has seeds and everything but it I got a tomato on a fruit platter I'd be pissed.

A tomato is, scientifically speaking, a fruit.

...a fruit that is much healthier than other fruits, making it seem like a vegetable.

From what I know, botanically speaking it is a fruit.
But in everyday language and in agriculture we speak of a vegetable.
