Is trap music really music?

I don't think I've actually ever heard trap music before. Is it just basically rap?

You gotta define trap music man, like the hardcore trap? underground, or hip hop like trap like the old T.I that was music regardless lol

Music is very personal and very subjective. What someone considers music might be considered useless annoying noise to someone else. I think music is just whatever you think it is, honestly.

Of course it is. Why would it not be? There is rythm and melody and that is pretty much all that music is.

Back in the 1700s, people didnt consider Waltzs to be proper music.
