No, it isn't a mechanic champion, and you have to do is to poke them with your Q and then then when you have your pasive full, just go all in QWER on them.

I often use Garen for the top lane and always won the game with the team that I have played

I like playing ADS with kennen, it's more fun to play ADS than AP
