Get a girlfriend that speaks the language. Or travel to the country and immerse yourself.

1. Watch film, or something that have a subtitles.
2. Get a mirror
3. Get some book (camus or tutorial on youtube)
4. Learn how to speak (like learn how to speak like japanese)

Watch a film about 1 week with subtitles, then watch again but without subtitles about 1 week, get a mirror, get a camus, then try to speak something with your learn language. If you follow this steps carefully maybe 1 - 5 month you will be able to speak a different language that you wanted to learn.

Immerse yourself in it... listen to podcasts, watch movies, use a browser plugin to translate everything to that language. Nao_'s suggestion about subtitles is a good one too.. depending on the language, you might even be able to choose it on some Netflix shows.

If they have the same alphabet as your language (aka no weird caracters) then you should watch a video with subtitles, join forums or the lazy but cool way: put everything you have in that language, and you'll learn the basics
