Leaking

I'm just curious what peoples intents are when they leak scripts. Why do you do it?

Maybe for the people who don't wish to pay $10 for a simple script?

I mean that's true but then again server owners can end up making a lot of money hosting servers so if they can make a money then why can't the developers? Without the developers the server owners wouldn't make much.

Because addon cost is very big. Some addons you can download in workshop and some one you should to buy.

Lmao mate if you run a server I assume you have an income aswell? otherwise you are extremelybadat hosting a server.


The reason why people leak? Because they either need credits, find themselves a vigilante or because they like the community. Sometimes also because they don't like the support because they don't know how to unzip the addon. Or maybe because their intention is to leak a servers files because the owner was not being nice at them.

idk it has it bad sides and good sides, to me i leak only graphic shit but if their creator requeted or wanted me to remove them, i'll.

Partially to give others a chance at something they can't afford, or to piss OP developers off.
Could be various reasons so no one can really pinpoint a full on answer that'll connect to every paid script maker out there.

I've made my parents invest in me by starting to pay the $25 a month for game and web hosting (32 slots). I've spent $140+ on scripts and I don't use them anymore. I've made around $800 from the server itself and no longer run it. DarkRP is the main focus for most of the addons and it is very hard to run a server with all that competition. Not everyone wants to invest $25 + the cost of scripts. I leaked at first but I replaced all the leaked ones with the same script except I just bought it.

I can't say why other people leak but I can say mine. Mine was simply to earn credits. I like to earn credits for future use like buying rewards! 10 resources per day is ideal. I'll stop leaking maybe when I reached 500 (current goal). There is a reward if you posted that amount of leak/resources' so yea. Haha-----Tho most of them are from graphics and web. :poop:

Newborn servers dont exactly have the money they need, and they wont make revenue from players.
