Legend of Zelda BOTW tips and tricks?

Just started this amazing game and am about half way thruogh the main story... Was wondering if anyone played it and found anything worth sharing?

Don't hurry and complete as many shrines as you can, the whole game is built up around exploring, so DO NOT WATCH PLAYTHROUGHS. Trust me, you will enjoy the game most when you feel that you earned that victory over a tough enemy. Also, don't kick chickens.

I haven't finished this game yet either, but mostly because I've been taking my sweet, sweet time with it. I love this franchise with all of my heart, but botw took it to a whole other level. All I have to say is take your time, explore, and enjoy it while you can. Don't rely too much on walkthroughs, but don't be afraid to use them if you get stuck on a particularly nasty puzzle (or shrine, for that matter). Also, the best way to recover hearts is through hearty ingredients-- save your meat to get extra rupees instead (or just do some snow bowling haha). Have fun with it! Make the playthrough your own! It's such a wonderful game for exploring, so make sure to exploit that as much as you can <3
