Let's talk.

So recently I have been developing a Garry's mod server, but as Garry's mod as a whole grows, I can't seem to find any original ideas for my server.
Does anybody else have this issue, or is it just me?

I tried to find a map not many servers use,
Rockford.

I made sure to fix errors by making CSS, HL2 Ep 1 and 2 content is downloaded when you join.
I want to make it different.
But it's just becoming the same.

It's been soo long since I have played Garys mod. awsome game.

Maybe you should try to make and PVP server like Basewars but on DarkRP gamemode, or something like that. I know DarkRP is very flexible. You can try do anything you go on your mind like .... Wasteland from ARMA 3. Player like PVP and your server Will catch some atention. Try what do you think is better ok m8?

You'd really have to think about what type of gameplay you'd want to specialize in. PvE and PvP are the most common selections, but they're also servers dedicated to more beyond that (minigames, etc). As such, I'd look into the various considerations based on the gameplay you'd like to have.

Garry's Mod is slowly dying, you can't deny that, there's almost no original ideas for content-makers. We just have to hope that Valve releases Source 2 soon so Facepunch Studios could if it's worth making a sequel of Garry's Mod on Source 2 or Unity Engine

Just learn how to write lua and create your own custom things. That's what makes a server unique. :/
If you need any lua help let me know.

It's hard to find something new so you just push yourself to be creative. Do things you like.

I play Arma3 and Garrys Mod. I think RolePlay is the best

Pick a theme and follow it yourself, like less of a drug based darkrp, go for a cops robbers, or gang wars, or put in a way for people to make money legally, more exciting options, timed events, etc.
