Lexus Hoverboard: the skate Back to the Future is finally becoming a reality

[Image: retour_vers_le_futur2_09_rajeunissement.jpg]

The Lexus brand has released a video showing his hoverboard inspired by the famous skateboard Marty McFly in Back to the Future. Technological revolution or mere marketing stunt? Doubts persist ... Lexus has announced via a video presentation rather convincing its own Hoverboard. Powered through superconductors cooled with liquid nitrogen and magnets, is the prototype test in Spain. However, the video does not know if the Hoverboard will support the weight of a person This is a revolution The Hoverboard is of course directly inspired by the famous saga Back to the Future. Currently, other similar projects have captured the attention, including that of Hendo Hoverboard, which was the first project credible skate wheel. Old projects operated through magnetic rails overpowering, combined with a huge amount of liquid nitrogen allowing them to remain in the air. But they could not deflect magnetic rails to be able to fly, which do not allow complete freedom of movement. The draft Lexus, however, promises total freedom because no specific surface is required to allow the Hoverboard levitate. Lexus will release new videos soon, but has not given any of the release date, or even the price of the Hoverboard. It will therefore have to wait a while, and perhaps the dream of Back to the Future becomes reality ...

The board is pretty cool. It looks decent and it's nice to hover over water 'n stuff.
Although it's pretty useless atm, as it's only working on a magnetical surface, so you'd have to magnetize whole skater parks just for this board.
So, the idea is good, but the execution needs to be improved.
Like some, love some, trust none.

Only works on magnetized surfaces and is still otherwise less-than-capable for travel than walking.

Hope this theoretically pushes our science outwards so eventually we can have hover boards/ cars/ trains/ planes/ tanks/ etc, so we can have all sorts of future tech that we really want but have yet to invent.
