I have always been on nginx, with the redis cache (and fast cgi) that I appreciate a lot for its very low latency. Today I have the impression that OpenLiteSpeed allows an even shorter response time in addition to much faster requests. So I tried Cyberpanel, a control panel that supports the OpenLiteSpeed server. Locally, nginx with the redis cache remains the fastest, however Litespeed seems much more interesting for small connections. Opinions ?
we have tested using litespeed vs not using litespeed on a few servers and we do not notice a huge differance.
The main thing would be how your website performs to get the best possible performance. a terrible loading website or something with tons of useless plugins will perform bad on everything.
honestly you can just use cloudflare and get the same if not better performance without the added cost of a litespeed server license.
