Looking for cool mods

Hey guys. I've recently started playing minecraft again, and i was thinking of adding some mods, either complete overhauls or just a texture package.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

In my opinion if you making tech modpack you will need this mods:
Thermal Expansion (or Ender IO)
Thermal Dynamics
Thermal Innovation
Gendustry
AE
Realistic Terrain Generation

theres websites for mods, try redstones ones if ur good with that, or just fun ones overall! have fun with the mods

Well depends on what type of server you plan on making (such as)
Creative, Survival (like RPG, Factions, Skyblock, Clans based, Role-play)
Then focus on what you want to include, I mean so many mods out their that do so much
custom code / and give allot of aspect to a server.
Using Forge to implement these mods based on version of the mod, and making them all work together without conflict. Total Enjoyment
Tekkit: Was my favorite Mods for a longtime, but updates to newest version of Minecraft for it, has halted allot of play for me. (not Supported yet)

You should try out TangoTek's new Villager mod. Its almost like Minecolonies but it looks amazing

Tinker, ars magicka 2, industrialcraft and portal, you can have a lot of fun whit then.
