Well... Darker colors, sure. Then again, that really isn't how flame looks in 3 dimensional space with depth. Flame is usually hard to view in such a manner, and when one tries to mimic said effect in art, an artist use different approaches. Though most commonly would be to color the darker parts in an orange shade or deep black. Though the latter usually only works in more complex works where there are a lot of line work involved.

Also, in depth. One usually use "darker" color in the sense that they possess an equal amount of black and white in it, but a darker color choice. Such as orange being darker than yellow for example. Another way to word it (and probably a better way now that I think about it) would be to refer to it as "deeper".

I think Okama was right tbh because V3 looks the most appealing.

All of them look good, just if I had to choose between one to use, it would be V3
