How many of you guys tend to lose interest in a video game when you are older compared to when we were younger.

I thinks that's normal, growing you focus on important things in life

Sometimes I get nostalgic, and I start playing a game that I used to spend hours on, thinking I'll have as much fun as I did back then. But after a few hours, I get bored, and the idea of starting a game becomes increasingly less appealing to me.

It's quite natural to prioritize significant aspects of life. As we grow, we tend to focus more on what truly matters, seeking fulfillment in meaningful pursuits and experiences.

I struggle with this too, I think it's because as a kid the concept of time wasn't something I cared about, all I wanted to do was play eat and sleep, but with responsibilities in life now, it's hard to find a reason to play games. Helldivers reignited the spark for me tho, the first game that reminds me of gaming back in the PS3 + XBOX Live era.

I've taken to game creation in my older age in an attempt to not only rekindle my interest in the quality gaming I've grown up with but to perhaps benefit from contributing an accurate portrayal of that to others. Compared to commercial success I would make a strong venture, based on personal experience, that this is massively more rewarding on a small scale than a large one. If you can create the game and have fun both being creator and producer, that's the dream if you ask me, and it's a vibe that people will deeply appreciate if you can deliver.
