Hi there guys!

I am having issues with my internet usage during this quarantine. Meaning, lots of family members that randomly spot by are now regularly visiting me at home with the sole purpose of taking advantage of my wifi.

Many of them, start streaming stuff, watching Netflix, playing online games, downloading games, videos or even movies and, that is causing my internet to crash very often.

I dont want to get to the point where I change my wifi password and keep it to myself, I am not that kind of persona.

But I would like to only offer a certain % of my broadband to these visitors and keep a larger portion to myself.

Something like 75% for me and 25% for visitors.

Is this possible without having to spend much or even for free?

Looking forward to your replies,

Cheers!

Check your router's settings if you have a good router. Some routers have some kind of prioritization, sometimes called QoS, which grants you what you need.

Hi! Try to reset your router to restore factory default settings. You can also try a wifi signal booster to extend the range of the signal. https://www.myamplifiers.com/en-us/ - I bought mine here. Physically moving the wifi router can make a real difference to the speeds.

As Mr_R suggested, with QoS you can manage the maximum bandwidth for each device, without the needing of blocking them. Good luck!

The most reliable, instant and affordable solution to solve any mobile signal problem is to use a mobile signal booster
