I always found it odd that we had a dedicated "Anime Recommendations" thread, but no equivalent for manga. Being the manga-freak I am, I figured I would undertake this mission and create a comprehensive, organized and complete list and guide for manga. This thread aims to fulfill that mission (of course) by listing a few general recommendations, as well as recommendations within a great deal of genres (much like the anime thread). This thread is also subject to change at any time, so you might wanna stop by from time to time.

As a side-note. If you have a recommendation that you'd like to be added to the list(s) then either send me a private message or post in this thread. If you have such an addition then please inform me what kind of genre it primarily is so I can add it under the correct genre. Likewise, if you notice a manga under a genre you disagree with, let me know and I will take that into consideration and maybe move it to a more fitting genre.

The term "manga" refers to both comic and cartooning and it is a medium with not specific age group in mind. Manga uses a art-style that has it's roots in the 19th-century and origins from Japan. Outside of Japan however, manga is used to refer to comics specifically made in Japan. A common mistake that people outside of Japan do when they write about manga is to refer to them as "mangas" in plural, however the plural form of "manga" is just "manga".

Initial D in Manga is pretty good?
I've only seen the anime (Initial D First Stage till FinalStage)

Yea the manga is really nice, tho I prefer the anime
Also MF Ghost is kind of a follow up of initial d, but in the future, by the same author

No, actually its mostly different, but has a similar plot, a young talented driver who uses a car that is "worst than all the others", in this case, a GT86, but a lot of stuff in it proves they are in the same world as Initial D, and some characters get referenced

Oh. Yea, i've just read the synopsis in MAL. I thought Takumi or his son/grandson was still the mchere. Anyways thanks for explaining. So themanga is new , how many chapters? Hope it has at-least 50 above.
