I've been wondering for a long time why Minecraft simply starts to lag despite good hardware. Well, I don't play this game anymore, but there should be a simple reason.

1. Good hardware or not, Minecraft is specifically CPU intensive.

2. Many people make the mistake of cranking their settings to the max.

3. That's nothing Optifine couldn't fix. I have an i7-6800K and a GTX 1070, and by using Optifine and fiddling around with the RAM allocated to the game I boosted my FPS in single player from about 200 FPS to 600, with my game occasionally spiking in the 1000 FPS range

Check your CPu snd is it Intel or AMD? Minecraft fps depends a lot of it. Also check you graphics card, good card gives more boost to fps also.
