Minecraft will live past 2020?

Tbh I think minecraft is dying so I don't think it will be very popular in 2020. Games like fortnite will.

I would say there is a good chance minecraft will live past 2020. For one sofar there have been active development to keep it updated with new concepts and mechanics. However, that active development could also lead minecraft downhill. The developers should keep updating but also should listen what the community wants/hates/etc .

Yes, it'll still have players. If people are still playing COD4 then minecraft players would still be playing. Plus there a lot of mods on Minecraft if people ever get bored of vanilla.

I guess it really depends on what your definition of "dying" is
If we are thinking of Lawbreakers dying then never.

This game is a sandbox game, and sandbox games are harder to kill, especially with the mods in Minecraft.

I have noticed the slowdown of mod development, There isn't as many mods still in development.

Minecraft is used to be a game where you can do anything you want if you have the right skills. As long as servers exists, Minecraft will live.

Definatly also they have released the 1.13 version that adds even more features to mc
