as i read on some forums , mining is not profitable at all

i have looked into getting a bitmain antminer and the time to make the money back is around 7-8 months. Each one will make around 1.6 BTC every year depending on the difficulty through out the year

Mining bitcoin takes alot of money and time to start out with. But it gets profitable in the end. when the bitcoin prices go up or down.
