Planning on watching the new one in theatres. But I don't know if I really should take the time going back at all the movies. I've never watched them. So, yeah, is it really worth the hype?

The John Wick movies are generally considered to be very good, especially by fans of action films. Here are some reasons why they are highly regarded:

1. Innovative Action Sequences
The John Wick series is praised for its choreographed fight scenes and innovative action sequences. The films have set new standards for action choreography in Hollywood, often emphasizing realistic combat techniques and fluid, visually stunning sequences.

2. Stylish Cinematography
The movies are known for their stylish visual aesthetics, including the use of lighting, color, and camera work. The unique visual style helps to create an immersive experience that stands out from other action films.

3. Compelling World-Building
The series has developed a rich and intriguing world of assassins, complete with its own rules, traditions, and institutions. This detailed world-building adds depth to the narrative and engages the audience beyond the action.

4. Keanu Reeves' Performance
Keanu Reeves' portrayal of John Wick has been widely acclaimed. His dedication to performing many of his own stunts and his stoic, intense performance add authenticity and gravitas to the character.

5. Strong Supporting Cast
The movies feature a strong supporting cast, including actors like Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Halle Berry, who contribute to the films' depth and appeal.

6. Simple but Effective Plot
The plot of the John Wick films is straightforward, often revolving around themes of revenge and loyalty. This simplicity allows for a focus on action and character development without unnecessary complexity.

7. Critical and Audience Reception
The John Wick movies have received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. They are often praised for revitalizing the action genre and for their entertainment value.

8. Consistency Across the Series
Unlike many franchises, the John Wick series has maintained a consistent level of quality across its sequels. Each installment builds upon the previous ones, expanding the universe and raising the stakes.

Yeah but let's be real, no one really remembers the content of the movie after a while...
