I don't have a good voice, thats a fact but I've always been interested in making music. As cringe as EDM is to me it wouldn't require any vocals to make. Any tips on what programs and pre-recorded loops to use? I don't have a macbooknor am I interested in another way to use Garage Band.

Well before you make any music Id get a soundcloud setup to put your music for the public. Make sure your profile is appealing and expresses the genre of music our making. Good luck on the music.

1. Write lots of songs.
LOTS of songs. LOTS OF SONGS. Don't obsess over 1 song for 6 months, tweaking things endlessly.

2. Learn how to work efficiently.

3. Also, organize your shit. Keep all your synth patches organized, all your wooshes in the same folder, etc. If you're spending more then 15 seconds hunting for a sound you're fucking up.

4. Learn to play a fucking instrument.

5. Treat your room.
The room you're working in sounds like shit and you can't hear shit properly and that's one of the reasons your mixdowns sound like shit. Build some goddamn bass traps.

TAKE A BREAK. Ear fatigue occurs after listening to the same sound for hours and hours. Goodluck and get started Wink Cheers!!!

I don't wanna be that guy but if you really want to produce, you first need to be able to play the piano properly. Then you gotta train yourself a bit so that you can just jam around and get creative. After that you should look into getting a Midi-Controller, Logic and the MASCHINE sample pack for around 1000$.
