So I wanted to buy a new GPU, because I made enough money with BTC already and I felt like I needed new GPU, since my started f*cking up..
So I went on 1 sh*tty forum and posted there that I'm selling BTC for PayPal, me.. a f*cktard didn't realize I could have bought it with GPU from trusted sites.. so few people contacted me, and then 1 really HQ member PM'd me, so I went first and I ended up getting scammed for all my BTC (600), the point? Don't trust anyone, always use a middleman or don't go first lol. Smile

Ahh, yeah that sucks NOFUTURE ...that's pretty much true for any transaction that isn't done face-to-face.

Another one to watch out for (as a seller) is when the buyer reverses the charges after shipment or receipt.. either via Paypal, credit card or otherwise.

Either way, shitty lesson to learn the hard way, but now ya know Smile

Oh, also.. as far as selling BTC goes, I've had good luck with https://xcoins.io ...they call it "lending" BTC, but it's selling via Paypal.. they handle all the work legwork, and you get a bit more $ than the going rate.. just be sure to set the "Rating" field to 3 or more. One person attempted to scam me (via Paypal reversal), but xcoins caught it out.

Let me guess, the forums was hackforums?
also, why will you ever trust someone with that much money? all these "HQ" members are nothing but crap, its common sense. These online HQ fags just dont have an irl life and end up making a forums their alter-ego and end up scamming a lot of times.
" Don't trust anyone, always use a middleman or don't go first" ... its common sense again, you learned it the hard way though.
600 is a lot man, hope you feel better knowing how little of a man that scammer was, really pitiful.

Actually, it wasn't hackfroums, I don't know what forum it was tbh, it was like half a year ago lol
It definitely is a lot, but at least I learned and won't get scammed like this again : )

I've been scammed a few times in my life, but I never been scammed the same way twice. And I would say that one particular scammer certainly hasn't been scamming people since me and some friends hunted his ass down, got the money back, and we told him we will be watching him closely for the rest of his life.

Yeah,as long as you learn from it, it's not a total waste.. same goes for buddy, I'm sure he learned from that too.

Revenge is satisfying as fucking hell though, not gonna lie... almost worth getting scammed for haha

Well mine is even worse.
I began early with mining and mined around the time when GPUs came into the mining game. - So i invested into some decent watercooled Graphic Cards. And mined 100-150 bitcoins.
But around 120 of them were for paying off the graphic cards (BTC Price was around 6-9 USD at this time).
And then i was rolling the dice with about 15 and so on.
Weill today only 2 are left. and when i think back how much they would be worth if i hadn't spent them i have to vomit,

Yeah, that's rough... if it makes you feel better, just think of the guy who bought 2 pizzas for 10,000 BTC... would be worth over $60mil today, or ~$200mil at its highest.

WTF.
This is really hard sh*t
But yeah. There were times a Bitcoin wasn't worth much and no one really believed in it.
